Author Author Book Festival 2009

Yesterday I went to a book festival in Shreveport. It was pretty nice, met some nice people and made some decent contacts. It wasnt a gaming con no, but I was there to provide some gaming. I had some members of the local gaming community show up in order to see me. Some of the highlights were the meeting of Charlaine Harris (the author of the Sookie Stackhouse novels), Heather Lee and Michelle McCrary (Im assuming shes the Zombie Queen because I have not met a woman before that knows so much about zombies). Gaslight got some mention, Prime Directive Modern got some face time as well. My original facebook post was not as flattering as I was hoping, but thats what I get for posting while still half asleep. The Author Author Commitee put on a wonderful show, and as it was only the second year. I see a ton of improvement for the years to come. I am looking forward to seeing what they have in store for next year, so if you are in Shreveport next summer, go by the Author Author Book Festival you wont be disappointed.
